M4 News
March 30th, 2012JFK & I have been on a few month break due to some personal restrictions, however we are back yet again with another great surprise. The first of many network applications has been officially completed. Full network support is expected around M5/M6. With network support from within the GUI being our main goal, We have taken a huge leap towards the official M4 release. For some more information check out our Forums.

New release coming soon!

Finally after a lot of hassle and failure, I have succesfully integrated TCP/IP sockets into the Aura system itself. JFK has had a browser and some example TCP/IP apps developed. He has been working on a new M3 live CD that supports automated driver loading and network configuration. This release will once again have only desktop fixes, however now with the primary challenge of networking done, we can focus again on desktop advances. Stay tuned we have more coming soon.
M2 Released

Aura M1 Was released in 2009! and it took us till the end of December 2010 to finish Milestone 2 and then we got a bit lazy with being away over the xmas period to release the M2 live Distro.. We figured what better way to start the fresh year off with a fresh distro!!!. The aura gui is now in Beta!! so its pretty stable! many things have been fixed and programs have been updated etc..!! check the forums for support guys and please give us your feedback! Aura M2 Coming Soon!
October 2nd, 2010Aura OS Milestone 2 is coming soon. It features a new dock, a new boot screen, faster boot process, and networking support. More features will be announced soon.
*IMPORTANT*
This release of Aura will be the last Open-Source release. After this release, Aura will be under a new license and closed source. This is only to limit abuse of Aura Copyrights.
A the old license is not the only thing out the door, the DOS kernel is done as well. After M2 we will be using a new Kernel that is based on NT which makes for a more stable, and functional system.

Well…. Sort of,
This is a DOS LiveCD with Aura GUI on it. It still runs Aura applications but it does not include the Aura OS kernel as it is not yet complete. Please check out this release and post any bugs or errors you encounter on the forums.
