so with the integration of automated NIC detection i thought id start the next step in this by adding automated SOUND,
Sound Blaster series is supported obviously
C-media Devices (limited)
VIA AC97 (limited)
so far.... i can add support for a bunch more but most of them are chipsets that are soo old id be surprised if anyone had one in a modern PC.
Automated USB support (for when a compatible Chipset is found) so you can have usb sticks & drives
but this is NOT tested well just yet.
So why are Virtual Machines a pain in the arse? because i say they are!
Vmware wont allow me to use the soundblaster emulated hardware under freedos unless i revert back to Vmware fusion 1.0
VirtualPC 2007 doesnt even seem to show soundblaster anywhere...
strange becuase i hve already tested this in the past and it worked.... i must be doing somthing shit.
New mapfiles have been added to pciscan Including Nvidia, ATI, Vmware, VirtualPC, Intel, VIA devices & CPU's
its a shame that there is no generic AC97 sound support nor support IntelHD audio
