Hello my name is chase developer of Aura OS. Here you will find the current status of Aura MILESTONE II development. This includes things to do, Things being done, Things done. Thanks for your interest in Aura OS.
    Currently In Development:

  • Multi-User Support (Part 2/3)
    Things to do:

  • Networking (Driver/TCP initialization)
  • Orchid (Web Browser)
  • GUI Alerts (Pop-up notification from apps and aura)
  • GUI Updates (Theme and Menus)
    Things Done:

  • Desktop Sounds
  • Login (Part 1/3 Multi-User Support)
  • Some minor GUI updates
  • OS Kernel (Based on Freedos Kernel)

OK, so over the weekend i managed to get the following working:

Ndis Drivers
Ndis to Packet Shim Driver
Watcom TCP
Shared Networking*
(can only open shared windows computers not doscore computers)

the only thing is the IP settings generated by Ndis donot automatically transfer to the wattcp.cfg file just yet but you can manually enter them from IPconfig.ini to wattcp.cfg

i have even been surfing the net with DOSlynx LOL!!....(textbased)

couldn't log into facebook tho.. lol

Very Nice. Got browser that opens HTML pages in Text mode. Now i just need to incorporate the Networking stuff you have finished.

UPDATES!!!!
ok!

email i got from chase yesterday!!

"I've fixed the quit button, fixed the menus so they don't go below the screen, I fixed control panel screen settings, I've updated some random libraries here and there. Fixed all the open with files... Added sounds for dialogs and boot, added a shutting down screen.... And possibly added desktop icons.... "

About Orchid!

Ok M2 will possibly NOT have orchid in it we have run out of time BUTU!!! we will release it in Aura M2 Release 2 i007 which will be early in the new year sorry for taking sooo long to the users that do follow our work but the release after this M2 "M3" will be worth the wait TRUST ME!!
